General Policies

This document outlines the policies regarding payments, cancellations, and participation for events and contributions related to the US-SINO Innovation Alliance (USIA).

Payment & Registration Policy

At USIA, we require full payment at the time of purchase to secure your registration for events or to process donations and ticket sales. This payment confirms your spot and supports the mission of our programs.

  • All ticket prices and donation amounts are listed in USD.

  • Payment for an event ticket or registration is for the specified event only and is non-transferable to other events unless explicitly stated.

  • Upon successful payment, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided during checkout. This email serves as your proof of purchase or donation.

  • If a payment fails or is disputed, the associated ticket or registration will be considered invalid until the payment is successfully processed.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. For Event Tickets & Registrations:

  • Cancellation by Attendee:

    • To request a cancellation, you must contact us at info@us-sino-ia.org.

    • Cancellation requests received more than 14 days before the scheduled event date are eligible for a partial refund, after deducting a 15% administrative and processing fee.

    • Cancellation requests received within 14 days of the event are non-refundable. However, tickets may be transferred to another individual with prior notification and approval from USIA.

  • Cancellation by USIA:

    • In the unlikely event that an event is postponed or cancelled by USIA due to unforeseen circumstances, registered attendees will be notified promptly and offered a choice of a full refund or a credit towards a future event.

    • USIA reserves the right to cancel a registration without a refund if an attendee violates the terms of the agreement or the code of conduct.

2. For Donations:

  • Donations made to the US-SINO Innovation Alliance are considered final and are non-refundable. We are grateful for your support of our mission.

3. Refund Process:

  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 15-30 business days from the official date of the cancellation confirmation.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.

Event Access & Conduct Policy

This policy outlines the terms for accessing and participating in USIA events.

  • Ticket & Entry: Your confirmation email and e-ticket are required for entry to the event. Please be prepared to show your e-ticket (printed or on a mobile device) at the check-in desk. A valid photo ID may also be required.

  • Event Schedule & Changes: While we strive to adhere to the advertised schedule, USIA reserves the right to make changes to the event agenda, speakers, or venue if necessary. All registered attendees will be notified of any significant changes.

  • Attendee Conduct: All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. USIA reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual from the event for disruptive behavior, harassment, or failure to comply with event policies, without eligibility for a refund.

  • Photography & Recording: By attending a USIA event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. These materials may be used by USIA for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes.
