Our story stems from a shared passion and a recognized need. We saw countless professionals seeking a new career path, passionate overseas students eager to turn ideas into reality, and innovators looking for the right partners to spark their next venture. They all shared a common desire: a dedicated platform for guidance, resources, and community.

The GWEC is a specified division within the US-Sino Innovation Alliance (USIA), an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, focusing on USIA's innovation activities. Members of GWEC are also considered USIA members. USIA, also an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, launched GWEC in 2025 in association with CAST-DC.

As a focused initiative under the broader US-Sino Innovation Alliance (USIA), the Greater Washington Entrepreneurship Club (GWEC) was born to meet this need. We are the specialized, action-oriented arm of USIA, channeling its extensive network and resources directly to the entrepreneurial journey. Our purpose is to provide every aspiring founder with a solid foundation and a supportive community to turn ambition into achievement.
