On October 2nd and 3rd, the "2017 Washington Innovation and Cooperation International Forum" was held at the Trump National Golf Club. The forum was jointly organized by the Washington American Chinese Community Alliance, the US-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance, the Loudoun County Economic Development Department of Virginia, and the US-China Exchange and Development Foundation.

On October 2nd, the domestic delegation participating in the forum visited the Maryland State Legislature, met with Congressman Jamie Raskin, and observed Hans Riemer's campaign activities in Montgomery County.

Xiao Shuigen, Chairman of the Washington American Chinese Community Alliance; Ye Yubin, President of the US-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance; Robert McCollar, Director of Economic Development for Loudoun County; and Li Xin, Counselor of the Science and Technology Office of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of the forum on October 3rd.

The forum invited several heavyweight guests from the investment and innovation fields in both the U.S. and China to give speeches. Richard Bendis, founder and CEO of BioHealth Innovation, Inc., delivered a keynote speech, sharing his experience in the field of innovation and the basic requirements for government, research institutions, the investment community, and non-profit organizations to become innovation-focused areas. He also detailed BioHealth Innovation's grand vision and current progress in building the Washington D.C. area into one of the world's top three biomedical innovation bases.

Todd Thurwachter, Senior Advisor to the US-China Exchange and Development Foundation and Director of the American Foreign Service Association, and Wang Junsheng, Vice President of the China Investment Association, delivered speeches on the status and trends of Sino-US economic and trade development. They discussed the impact of Trump's tax policy reform and China's supply-side structural reform on Sino-US economic development and trade.
